My friends are sick of me making Linkin Park references. They told me if you get one step closer to making one, I'm gonna faint. In the end, it doesn't even matter, but I should start breaking the habit anyways.

I'm fucking heartbroken, R.I.P. Chester, in a world where I didn't feel accepted by society, LP's songs and lyrics helped me believe in myself and feel more confident in myself.

I remember when I was... Maybe 8/9 years old and miss cliked on a video, the video I ended up clicking on was this song, not this exact video but a lyric video of this song, and then I just fell in love with Linkin Park, nowadays I'm 16 and still it hurts to not have Chester anymore, but everything he left behind on this world, all the songs, all the depressed people he helped and keeps on helping with his music, it really is something amazing.

its unfortunate Chester left us so early, it actually put me in depression for the first couple of days, and this happened just after i got out of a break up depression, some people wish to leave this world early but dont understand the pain they put on others(family, friends, & fans), i can say this is suicide is never worth the effort, find help, you can always fix depression, but you cant fix a lost life, and the pain others feel after commiting such a act, life is more valuable then you can ever think, you dont realize what your life means to others till yours is lost to death, some people dont even show depression or pain, chester was playing with his kids looking like the happiest man alive 9 hours before his suicide, you cant see these things coming, my cousin was looking like the happiest man alive then 2 hours later grabbed a gun from his dads cabinet and walked 2 miles out into the woods and shot himself, put hell on our whole family, thought he was just missing and then a game warden in a helicopter found him, then hell broke lose, the stress put onto the family is unreal, please if you need help get help, dont do it cause it isnt worth the price that your family pays!!! (plz like this so i can put this at the top so this comment can help others understand the value of their life!!)

I pulled over to the side of the turnpike earlier bc I couldn't process the news of what just happened to my favorite musician. My heart heavy and tears rolling down my face. Playing in the background was 'pushes me away' what is probably my all time favorite Linkin Park song. As I sat there.. I reflected. I reflected on 16+ years of what Chester and his music did for me. The music I used to help me get through some of the toughest and most darkest times of my life. Music I used to celebrate happy times with friends. Music of which I witnessed first hand at as many different concerts as I can count on my hands and toes. Music that has produced tears of joy and tears of sadness in my eyes. Music that has brought countless hours of singing at the top of my lungs both in the shower and whilst driving. Ive never met you Chester Bennington.. but I feel your powerful voice and music has shaped me into being the person I am today. Through your music, your gift of sound will forever live on with me.. for that I am truly thankful. RIP

This might be one of the songs that I relate to the most, even though I relate to a lot of their songs.\nBut this one, for me, exactly describes my first relationship, with someone that I thought was caring and kind, but turned out to be a depressed, emotional blackmailing mess.\nThroughout our relationship, through all of highschool (yeah, of course I was a teenager, it wouldn't be funny if it wasn't that cliché) even though I constantly felt guilty and he continually blamed me for everything, I was more concerned for him than for me. I thought he would kill himself if I went away, because that's what he wanted me to think. I don't even think it was intentional. \n\nAnd I smiled, and I lied, and I told him I loved him to prevent that, while I slowly fell into deep depression, not even realising how miserable I was. When I did, I still couldn't walk away, because I couldn't stand the guilt. It went as far as me becoming suicidal\nThen he cheated on me, and I escaped. And even after that, I still felt guilty, I still thought it was all my fault, I could still remember everything he blamed me for. \nAnd it made me sick thinking that he thought the same thing, that he hadn't realised how much he had destroyed me.\n\nA month later, I listened to that song again (funnily enough, it was that boyfriend which introduced me to Linkin Park), and it hit me how perfectly it described what I had been through. \nI still don't understand how I hadn't realised all of that before. I stayed 2 and a half year with that guy.\n\nBut afterwards, I sent him that song, which he knew perfectly well. I told him why I related to it. I don't know if he understood, but that song helped me heal, helped me realised that it wasn't my fault, helped me accept the fact that yes, I had suffered.\n\nIt's not the only song that helped me. And I'm not the only that they helped.\nI will never be thankful enough to all of them, for their words, their music, their voices. \nAs ever, I wonder how come those songs were enough to help and even save so many of us, but didn't prevent Chester's death.\nI still think it helped him a lot. But it wasn't enough, and it makes me sad to no end.\n\nThank you guys for your music. I hope it will never be forgotten.
